Yearly Retreat

February 25 - March 3

 

The Carmelite Hermits had their yearly retreat directed by Fr. Luke A. Edelen, O.S.B. from the Abbey of Newark, New Jersey.  He received a Bachelor's Degree at Fordham University and Studied Theology at St. Vincent Archabbey Seminary in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.  He was ordained a Priest in 1980.  He has taught English, Latin and Religion at St. Benedict's Preparatory School and served for 13 years as pastor of the Abbey parish.  Presently, Fr. Luke serves in his community as Liturgical Master of Ceremonies and as Cantor, and as Chaplain at new Jersey City University in nearby Jersey City.  He is also the Chair of the Newark Archdiocesan Commission for Christian Unity.
